Diver Stress & Rescue Training

Diver Stress & Rescue is the next course recommended after Open Water Diver.  It is designed to help you gain confidence and become a better dive buddy.  It is also great for those who travel alone and rely on finding a dive buddy at their destination.

You learn to recognize the common signs of stress, typical responses to stressful diving situations, and what scuba equipment is recommended to help you to stay relaxed and enjoy diving.

You practice techniques to help you reduce and deal with stress before, during, and after a dive, self-aid and buddy-aid skills for stressful and rescue situations, and techniques for surface and sub-surface diver rescue.

The course takes place over one weekend, with two classroom sessions at Scuba Venture and two shallow water training sessions at either Dutch Springs or Willow Springs Park.

Upon successful completion of the course, you are awarded a Stress and Rescue certification card signifying that you have been trained in a variety of advanced rescue techniques.

Scuba Venture provide all of the additional equipment needed for Stress & Rescue training.  You may use your own basic scuba equipment or rent a scuba equipment package from Scuba Venture.

Many divers who finish the course express a deep level of satisfaction with their improved skills.
