DAN Oxygen Provider
The Divers Alert Network Oxygen First Aid
in Dive Accidents course is designed to provide oxygen first aid training
to the general diving public. This course represents entry
level training designed to educate you to be able to:
- Recognize the signs and symptoms of a dive emergency
requiring oxygen first aid
- Learn about the benefits of providing oxygen to an
injured diver
- Learn the potential hazards of working with oxygen
- Assemble and deploy the DAN Oxygen Unit
- Learn about mask options to be used for injured
Prerequisites:
- You must be at least 12 years old by the starting
date of the course
Junior Diver participants must be accompanied
by a parent or legal guardian.
- You must be trained in CPR by a nationally recognized
agency
Please bring your CPR Certification and
Scuba Diver certification cards for verification
- Divers
Alert Network membership is recommended
Dress casually and comfortably. We will be spending some time
on the floor as we learn how to administer oxygen.
